One of my notes from yesterday said "Park Foundation - PBS." A lot of PBS programs are sponsored by a "Park Foundation" and I made a note to myself to look them up and see if they had jobs I could get or what kind of grants they gave out (maybe I could get one for myself).

A quick Google search of "Park Foundation" and "PBS" brings up a lot of PBS credits pages and the National Park Foundation, which I don't think is the same thing or else they would say National on the PBS shows. But they don't. So who is this group?

I went to the Foundation Center's website (www.foundationcenter.org) and looked them up there. The Park Foundation that I came across is located at 500 Park Avenue in NYC and seems to be headed by Eunice Shriver (or Eunice Kennedy, I don't remember). They have PDFs of the foundation's tax returns available so I looked through them to see if PBS was one of their grantees. But it's not. So who are these people?

I still have no idea. But in the natural way that I am stimulated, now I'm interested in all the places that this Park Foundation funds and seeing what they're all about. Plus, the Park Foundation's return mentioned something called the Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. Foundation, so now I'm looking them up and seeing what they do.

Information. I love it and it consumes me. This is why I'm a slave to the internet.
